Region 10 Band Festival (Bridgeport, WV -
04/26/2007)
The Concert Band was awarded straight Superior
Ratings (I) at the
WVSSAC Region 10
Band Festival in Bridgeport, WV. The band's performance included Flight of Valor (James
Swearingen) and
Parade of the Tall Ships (Jay Chattaway).
Fall Semester, 2006-2007:
Pittsburgh Pirates vs. Houston Astros
(Charleston, WV - 9/26/2006)
The Liberty Marching Band performed
their "Standstill Conga Show" at Pittsburgh's PNC Park prior to the Pirates v.
Astros Major League Baseball Game.
Spring Semester, 2005-2006:
Atlantic Dance and Cheer Competition
(Charleston, WV - 1/29/2006)
The Liberty Danceline was awarded 1st
Place in the
Pom and Kick categories at the
Atlantic
Dance and Cheer Tri-State Open Championships in Charleston, WV.
Waikiki Holiday Parade Invitational (Honolulu, HI)
The Liberty Marching Band was invited to perform in the 2006 Waikiki Holiday Parade in Honolulu, Hawaii, and to participate in a military concert at the USS Arizona Memorial at Pearl Harbor, Hawaii. Dedicated to the 65th Anniversary of the historic attack that marked the US entrance into World War II. 18 bands from the Mainland United States as well as 12 Native Hawaiian Bands and numerous military bands were selected to participate in this parade, making it the largest parade in it's 40 year history.
Fall Semester, 2005-2006:
School Band and Orchestra Magazine (12/2005)
Mr. Stoneking's biography was featured in School Band and Orchestra Magazine's 8th Annual "50 Directors Who Make a Difference" article.
WVCAF North Central WV Dance Competition
(Clarksburg, WV - 11/12/2005)
The Liberty Danceline was awarded 1st
Place in the
Pom category at the WVCAF North
Central West Virginia Dance Competition held at Robert C. Byrd High School.
Buckwheat Festival (Kingwood, West Virginia
- 9/30/2005)
The Marching Band was awarded 1st Place
- Division III Parade Band at the Buckwheat Festival's "School
Days Parade" in Kingwood, WV. The parade selection was "Veracruz"
by Jay Bocook.
Spring Semester, 2004-2005:
Strawberry Festival (Buckhannon,
WV -
05/20/2005)
The Symphonic Band was awarded Second
Place in the AAA Class and Third Place Overall Grand Champion at the Strawberry
Festival's Concert Band Competition in Buckhannon, WV. The band's performance included
La Fiesta Mexicana: II. Mass (H.
Owen Reed, Grade Level VI) and
Emperata Overture (Claude
T. Smith, Grade Level V).
American Dance and Cheer
Eastern Regional Competition (Williamsburg, VA - 05/01/2005)
The Danceline Competition
Squad placed Second in the
Pom Division and First in the High Kick Division at the American Cheer and Dance
Association Regional Competition held at Busch Gardens in Williamsburg, VA.
Their scores from this competition have qualified them for the ADAC National
Competition next year.

2005 WV State Majorette
Festival
(Buckhannon, WV 03/19/2005)
The Flagline was awarded 1st Place at the West Virginia State Majorette Festival
in Buckhannon. Their performance selection was the Harry Connick
Jr. Big Band Arrangement of "We Are In Love".
2005 Presidential Inaugural Parade
(Washington, DC - 1/20/2005)
The Marching Band performed at the 55th Presidential Inaugural
Parade in Washington, DC. The Inaugural Parade tradition marks more than 220
years of band participation - dating back to April 30, 1789, when members of the
Continental Army escorted George Washington to his swearing-in ceremony at
Federal Hall in New York City. The parade selections were
America The Beautiful
and God Bless America.
Fall Semester, 2004-2005:
WVCAF North Central WV Dance Competition
(Clarksburg, WV - 11/20/2004)
The 15 member Danceline Competition
Squad placed Second in the
Open Category and First in the High Kick and Pom categories at the WVCAF North
Central West Virginia Dance Competition held at Robert C. Byrd High School, and
they were awarded the prestigious Grand Champion Trophy for having the highest
point average at the competition.
Salem Apple Butter Festival (Salem, West
Virginia - 10/09/2004)
The Marching Band was awarded 1st Place
in the Salem Apple Butter Festival "Grand
Parade" in Salem, WV. The parade selection was "Veracruz"
by Jay Bocook.

The Marching Band was awarded 2nd Place
- Division III Parade Band at the Buckwheat Festival's "School

The Marching Band performed in the "Fall
Fantasy Parade" at Kennywood Park in Pittsburgh, PA. The parade selection was "Veracruz"

Walt Disney World (Orlando, Florida -
05/13/2004)
The Marching Band performed in the "Share
A Dream Come True" Parade at Walt Disney World's Magic Kingdom in Orlando,
Florida. The parade selection was "We're An American Band".
Region 10 Band Festival (Bridgeport, WV -

West Virginia State Majorette Festival

The Danceline received three 1st Place
Trophies (Dance, High Kick, and Pom Divisions) and the Flagline received a
First Place Trophy (Flag Division) at the West Virginia State Majorette Festival
in Buckhannon, West Virginia.

Additionally, the Freshman Concert Band received a rating of Excellent (II) at
the Band Festival for their performance of two
Grade IV selections.
