This information was then entered into the Educational Testing Services Information Data Management System (IDMS) and was utilized by all RELA teachers in grades 6-12 during the 2006-2007 school year. In addition to the pacing guides for each grade level, teachers also created benchmark tests for the first county-wide online assessment scheduled for October-November. To prepare students for this informal, low-stakes assessment, IDMS also provides a test bank with questions aligned to the state R/ ELA CSOs. Teachers can access these questions to create mini-testlets, which students can take individually or as a class. These testlets can be taken online or paper-pencil. These assessments can provide teachers and students with more accurate information regarding deficiencies, which become the focus of intervention learning strategies.
